The Count Down to Lobster Mini Season

Mini season is approaching quickly. This year it falls on July 27 and 28th. There have been reports of numerous crustaceans crawling as fast as they can to leave the Florida Keys. Make sure you have made final prep of your dive gear and most importantly your lobster catching gear (nets, tickle sticks, lobster bags, measuring devices and dive flags. Last minute things can be picked up at Suncoast Dive Center!!! You can use code LOB2022 for your discount code online for last minute gear (only available until Aug 6). The visibility has varied out of Johns Pass. In 60ft we have had 15 ft and in 90 ft it has been 10ft on the bottom. With the loop current getting closer the water will start cleaning up around late August. We hope everyone has a great time down in the Keys and look forward to all of the stories. Happy hunting.
